- The 3M(MC) Particulate Filter 7093 is NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. Use with 3M(MC) 5000 Series Respirators or 3M(MC) 6000 Series Cartridges with 3M(MC) Adapter 502, or with 3M(MC) 6000 Series or 3M(MC) 7000 Series Faceshields with bayonet filter retainers. NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles. The filter, often used in the abatement market, is encased in a rigid shell to protect it from decontamination shower jets.
- When properly fitted, the 3M(MC) Particulate Filter 7093 is suitable for a variety of applications, including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soft soldering, as well as exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and 4,4' methylenedianiline (MDA) at concentrations up to 10 times the permissible exposure limit with half-mask respirators or up to 50 times the permissible exposure limit with full-face respirators. Full-face masks must be quantitatively fit-tested to be assigned a protection factor greater than 10 in negative pressure mode. Do not use if the atmosphere presents an immediate danger to life or health (IDLH).
